Terry Bolitho – Owner and Manager
Bolitho’s extensive history in property management, ownership, development and his background as a builder has allowed him incredible insight into the industry and its inner-workings. Property has been part of Terry’s life since his teens. Operating his own building business at the age of twenty, he gained invaluable experience and got a taste for the industry early. After becoming a landlord at 22, Terry began to grow his portfolio. Working with both residential and commercial investments, he realised that management systems needed to be put in place to run his business efficiently and effectively. It is these systems that Bolitho Property Management uses to this day, and the reason they are one of the best property management agencies for owners who want the most from their investment.
Shona Bolitho – Owner and Office Manager
Like Terry, Shona has been involved in residential property investing for over 28 years and has been with Bolitho Property Management from its inception.
Undertaking day to day administration, financial and accounting duties such as reconciling landlord accounts and completing twice monthly disbursements, Shona utilises her attention to detail skills and background in the banking industry. Being a numbers and details oriented person, Shona takes great satisfaction in getting things right and ensuring that every detail is covered.
Tim Monck-Mason – Business Development Manager
Tim’s the man to talk to if you have questions about property management, would like an appraisal, or simply a chat about having your property managed. But he’s also here to assist our valued landlords making sure their experience with us is the best it can be.
He has a background in sales, marketing, business development, technical/copy/advert writing, and others, and is a passionate motorcyclists and dad.

John brings strong people management skills and a sunny disposition to Bolithos after a career in education/consumer electronics management.
With strong family ties to the region John settled here in 2017 having decided to live where he wanted to live – bye bye Auckland! An enthusiast of motorhoming, kart racing, and photography, John’s a great asset to the Bolitho team.
Sandy Van Staden – Property Manager
Sandy has years of experience dealing with people. She came to us after running a busy dental practice for many years,where her people management skills were equaled only by her ability to time manage and her great systems.
Sandy really enjoys the interaction with both landlords and tenants along with the variety of work that this role provides, with no two days being the same. Sandy is professional at all times yet approaches each situation with energy and optimism. She regularly receives emails of thanks and acknowledgement for her efforts.
Annitta Hodgkinson – Property Manager
Annitta is full of energy and vitality. Her many years as the liaison / co-coordinator for international students here in the Nelson/Tasman region has provided her with a solid grounding that enhanced her natural ability to get along with people from all walks of life.
Local girl, born and bred, Annitta’s knowledge of the area is equaled only by her depth of community standing. The skills that she brings to the role after working extensively with people from many different cultures enables Annitta to communicate clearly and with respect. One to watch, her sense of humor is infectious, her laughter not to be missed !
A very capable, honest and intelligent woman, Annitta is a real asset not only to the Bolitho team but to many peoples lives.
John Gibson – Property Manager
John brings to Bolitho the perspective of youth, enthusiasm to learn, and a natural eye for detail. John has previously worked in IT and customer service. He is quickly developing his career with us in property management and is already a fountain of knowledge.
Cassie O’Connor – Finance Manager
Cassie has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Management so we let her do the accounts! And with seven years in the RNZAF she is pretty disciplined and efficient; exactly what a fast paced business needs. Cassie has two kids at local Richmond schools and claims she actually enjoys running.

Catherine Bolitho – Property Manager
Catherine brings a steady head and lots of experience having survived a childhood apprenticeship in property management including many hours at the end of a water blaster, paint brush, and hedge trimmer. She also worked with us before heading off on a big O.E. visiting 36 countries.
Catherine is Nelson born and raised, has a double major BA in anthropology and religious studies, and has a rental property herself that Bolitho’s manage. She also has a special interest in sustainable housing, tiny houses, and huge smiles!
Ginnette Smythe – Property Manager
Ginnette has several years’ experience in Nelson property management and delivers a stress-free, easy experience for our clients. With her background in teaching and social work, she is great at proactively nipping issues in the bud before they escalate.
A people person, Ginnette’s forte is her attention to detail and effective communication with a level-headed approach.
Ginnette is a Nelson local, has been a teacher and a social worker, and is passionate about the arts in Nelson hosting Art Talk Nelson on FreshFM.
Greta Harris – Reception/Admin
Greta is the friendly greeting on the phone and at reception, she is our admin champ and financial support person.
She has been working as a legal secretary and trust accounts administrator, an office manager, and in property management administration, so we are in good hands.
Despite being married with 3 teenagers she won Champion Rose at the Motueka A & P Show for 6 years straight!
